Geology of Early Cretaceous and Jurassic Mixed Plays in Central Tunisia: Petroleum Systems, Reservoirs Behavior and Trap Types

This field trip is an overview of the Early Cretaceous & Jurassic plays in the foreland of the Atlas system in the Central Tunisia (Pelagian basin).

Wednesday, 1 October – Friday, 3 October 2025, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Tunis, Tunisia - Sheraton Tunis Hotel

Tectono-Stratigraphy and Petroleum Systems of Northern Tunisian Atlas (Zaghouan – Enfidha Area)

The fieldtrip will cover a complete stratigraphic section starting from Triassic to Neogene with an emphasis on the source rock and reservoir formations. Detailed mapping and bed by bed sedimentological logging in addition to geochemical analysis results will be used to illustrate the stops with high quality figures and maps.
